POSITION: CrossPoint Community Church is looking for a part-time Music and Worship Director who will work 5 - 10 hours per week to lead our weekly Sunday morning worship service in the area of music and worship.

Area #1: Your Overall Health
--maintain a healthy devotional life characterized by prayer, Bible reading, and fellowship with other Christians
--meet monthly with the senior pastor or an elder to pray together, grow spiritually as a disciple, and to discuss ministry in the life of the church
--read various articles on worship, music, theology, and discipleship as assigned by the Senior Pastor
--participate in one of the small groups of the church for your own spiritual health and growth (if schedule permits)
--take one Sunday off every 2 months and allow someone else to lead the music portion of the worship service for your own rest and refreshment
Area #2: Leading Music and Worship
--oversee and provide leadership to the music, worship, sound, and technology aspects of our church
--set-up, tear down, and rearrange music equipment (as needed)
--lead the music portion of our worship service every Sunday (service starts at 10:30am)
--coordinate with the senior pastor to design the weekly worship service
--select songs for the Sunday service and distribute them to the senior pastor and music team by Friday morning each week
--practice with the music team on Sunday mornings before the worship service
--recruit, train, and disciple musicians for the weekly worship service
--make and distribute a schedule for the music and worship team (at least monthly)
--design the PowerPoint slides for the weekly worship service

Fairview Church of God is a Churches of God, General Conference (Findlay, OH) congregation within the Midwest Region Conference (Columbia City, IN). Fairview COG is now accepting explorations of interest for the position of Senior Pastor. The Senior Pastor position is full-time and salaried with options available for benefits based on need and life situation. Expected work week is 40-50 hours.
Fairview Church of God is comprised of rural, small town, and suburban parishioners from Yoder, Ossian, Zanesville, Roanoke, Markle, Uniondale, Bluffton, Huntington, and Ft. Waye. A variety of age groups are present in the around fifty (50) attendees on Sunday mornings. Services are held in the historic 1881 chapel/sanctuary. The building has additions for restrooms, classrooms, offices, and a full basement with kitchen for lunches, dinners, recreation, and gatherings. The grounds include a newly built covered pavilion for picnics, family gatherings, and outdoor music, as well as a playground for elementary aged youth. The Pavilion is open by schedule to anyone (within and outside the church) free of charge. Additionally, a 1960’s ranch-style house with three (3) bedrooms and one and a half (1.5) baths is available and has been used as both a parsonage and a mission house. Yoder Road is used as thoroughfare for cyclists; thus, the church grounds are used as a rest stop for bathroom breaks, lunches, meeting points, etc. by the cycling community.
Fairview is a friendly and welcoming congregation. The congregation has been historically committed to giving 10% of the general fund to missions both local and international. Growth has occurred and relationships have been deepened most often through work and through service to others. The congregation is accepting and supportive of each other. A senior pastor will be successful if he or she is excellent in encouragement, spiritual direction, and promoting ownership by the parishioners through the use of their gifts and talents.
